Welcome to ISA Wuhan International School

ISA Wuhan International School will soon join the growing network of ISA international schools, providing a Reggio Emilia-inspired Early Years programme that will prepare students for the IB PYP, MYP and DP.

Opening in mid-2022, ISA Wuhan International School will provide an international (IB) curriculum to students holding foreign passports. The school will offer boarding in order to provide an education option to families across the greater Wuhan metro area as well as Hubei and neighbouring provinces. By coming to ISA Wuhan, staff and students will join a connected family of ISA schools that will continue to grow over time.

ISA Wuhan International School will be joined by the ISA Wenhua Guangzhou West Chinese International School. This school will cater for Chinese nationals, offering the Chinese curriculum for Years 1-9, leading into the senior international secondary qualifications. It is envisaged that the two schools, while legally separate, will form a model of collaboration and cross-cultural understanding. As such, the Heads of School need to be committed to working together towards achieving the ISA Mission of leveraging off the best of the East and the West.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend face-to-face and/or skype interview with our recruitment team.

Candidates are requested to provide three referees for pre-employment reference check from current and previous employers.  The referees must be the Principal, Head of school or the direct supervisor from the school management team.

ISA is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  Candidates must be prepared to undergo child protection screening and appropriate background check.

General Requirements for International Teaching Positions

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area
  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. BEd, PGCE)
  • Minimum two years’ experience of classroom teaching in mainstream education sector
  • Previous experience of teaching the IB curriculum is preferred, high potential candidates without IB experience might be considered
  • Well-versed in various teaching resources including digital tools to support and enhance teaching and learning
  • Sensitivity to the cultural differences
  • A willingness to actively participate in the academic enrichment and co-curricular programmes
