The British International School Riyadh (BISR) is an extremely well-regarded not-for-profit, co-educational school in the Middle East, catering for students aged 3-18 across seven campuses, providing high-quality education to the expatriate community since 1979. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and as a British School Overseas (BSO). We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Vice Principal Quality Assurance in this new strategic position reporting directly to the Director of Schools. The role involves leading inspection and accreditation processes, overseeing quality assurance systems, and providing data-driven analysis to drive continuous improvement. This role requires exceptional leadership, a strong commitment to innovation, and dedication to maintain the school's high standards and esteemed reputation. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the highest levels of academic and operational excellence across all BISR campuses.

Key Requirements for Vice Principal Quality Assurance:

• Comprehensive understanding of quality assurance processes, accreditation, and inspection standards for international schools.

• Strong data analysis, IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, quality assurance tools), interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to lead by example, work effectively with the school leadership, inspire teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and manage change.

• Possess in-depth understanding of the curriculum (GCSE, A-Level, IB), as well as current best practices in teaching and learning.

• Think strategically to develop strategies that align with the school’s goals for maintaining and improving academic and operational excellence.

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to employ a meticulous approach to overseeing academic and operational systems, ensuring that all standards and regulations are met.

• An innovative mindset, with the ability to identify challenges quickly and develop effective solutions that align with the school’s goals and values.

• Resilience, adaptability, and a passion for upholding the highest academic and operational standards, ensuring the school continues to excel and maintain its reputation.

• Bachelor’s degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher status.

• Certificate of Education (PGCE or B.Ed).

• Relevant training or qualifications for the specific post.
