The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and as a British School Overseas (BSO). BISR is also a member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME), the Association of British Schools Overseas (AoBSO), the Heads Conference (HMC) and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). The school follows the English curriculum, greatly enriched by the local and international context. Learning is holistic, supported by a broad co-curricular programme, encompassing extra-curricular activities, student leadership, service learning and residential trips. Strong pastoral care supports student well-being.
We are seeking a capable Student Support Services Lead to direct a consistent and collaborative approach across all central Student Support Services to ensure high-impact provision that benefits all students. The incumbent is accountable for the delivery of exceptional student support standards, in alignment with organisational policies and objectives.

The successful candidate will:
Be enthusiastic, highly motivated and with a strong track record of working within a similar type of role.
Show evidence of related experience within a large establishment. Prior experience of working within a school environment will be a clear advantage.
Be proactive in their approach to dealing with interactions with external and internal enquires in line with the school’s expected high standards;
Go the extra mile, including working outside of standard school hours, ensuring service level delivery is met;
Further develop the vision for an inclusive culture.
Contribute to curriculum development to ensure that students with SEND experience a deep and rich curriculum (including careers provision/leadership specialism).
Support to ensure a nurturing culture and bespoke provision for students with additional needs.
Have excellent interpersonal skills, high levels of emotional intelligence and be able to deal effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and teams;
Fully support the school Mission, Vision and Motto
Go the extra mile for students, contributing to the wider life of the school, including the broad co-curricular programme and community events.
Hold an appropriate UK or UK-recognised teaching qualification.
