Secondary Vice Principal & DP Coordinator: Assists in establishing and operating the secondary school while ensuring academic standards and staff development. Also leads the IB Diploma Programme, maintaining compliance and guiding students through curriculum requirements.
Job Responsibilities for Vice Principal and DP Coordinator
School Preparation & Operational Management: Assist in the preparatory work for establishing the secondary school and support its daily academic and operational management after it opens.
Organizational Implementation: Facilitate the development and execution of the secondary school's organizational structure, staffing plan, role responsibilities, operational norms, and processes, ensuring a smooth opening and continuous operational efficiency.
Policy Development: Collaborate in the formulation, review, and implementation of policies governing the secondary school.
Strategic Planning & Projects: Engage in the organization, formulation, and execution of the secondary school's development initiatives and annual work plans.
Faculty Professional Growth: Identify and monitor the professional development needs of secondary school staff, assisting in coordinating relevant opportunities for their growth.
Academic Programme Support: Support the Secondary Principal in ensuring that all academic programmes comply with the standards and requirements of relevant accrediting bodies.
Timetabling & Staffing Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Primary School Principal and the school leadership team to design, implement, and review the overall timetable and staffing requirements for the secondary division.
Student Welfare & Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication channels and linkages with the school service center, student affairs office, and parents' committee, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of students.
Programme Leadership & Management: Provide dedicated leadership and daily management of the IB Diploma Programme, including curriculum oversight, assessment coordination, and resource management.
IB Standards & Authorization: Ensure that the Diploma Programme fully complies with all IB standards, practices, and procedures. Lead the school through the processes of authorization, programme evaluation, and any IB-related visits or reviews.
DP Faculty Coordination: Lead and support the DP teaching team. Facilitate collaborative unit planning, ensure the integrity of assessments, and organize in-house professional development tailored to the needs of the DP.
Student & Parent Guidance: Offer academic guidance and support to DP students on matters related to course selection, CAS, TOK, EE, and university aspirations. Maintain effective communication with DP parents regarding programme requirements, assessment, and student progress.
