ISA International Schools in Guangzhou are seeking a Deputy Principal of Secondary (Academic) for the academic year 2026-2027.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in an academic leadership role within a secondary school setting
- Strong understanding and experience with the IB Diploma Programme curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development

Key responsibilities of the Deputy Principal of Secondary (Academic) include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement within the Secondary school by improving the standards of our teaching and learning
-Lead the academic management of the Secondary School under the guidance of the Head of School.
-Develop and implement policies for the Secondary School to ensure high standards and continuous improvement.
-Oversee the formulation and execution of development projects and annual work plans for the Secondary School.
-Monitor and support the professional growth and development needs of Secondary School staff.
-Ensure that academic programs comply with the standards and requirements of the IB and other accrediting bodies.
-Collect and record teaching related evidence in relation to our “Definition of Learning” to identify strengths, opportunities and next steps
-Develop feedback systems for teachers that support their continued development in reference to our “Definition of Learning”
-Develop and implement a mentorship program and coordinate the delivery of information and assistance to faculty seeking support.
-Establish policies and procedures for effective instruction in the classroom
-Collaborate closely with the Primary School Principal and the school leadership team to design, implement, and review the timetable and staffing plans.
