Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and deliver high-quality Physics lessons to students across a range of age groups and abilities according to the scheme of learning and course timelines.
· Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and academic excellence.
· Prepare students for IBDP and IGCSE examinations, ensuring they achieve their best possible results.
· Engage with students' academic progress, providing regular feedback and support.
· Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to develop innovative teaching resources and strategies.
· Participate in departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and school-wide activities.
· Support and contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the school.
Requirement
Minimum Bachelor’s degree BA/BS in a Science or Physics related field
Master’s level degree or above in the field of Physics (or equivalent) preferred.
A recognized Teaching Qualification for the required age range (e.g. B.E.D., PGCe)
Minimum three years’ teaching experience in primary education.
Expected to hold a current IB training qualification, at a minimum of Category 1 level, within the
given subject area before taking up the position,
Previous experience in teaching the IB DP is preferred, although outstanding candidates without prior IB experience will be considered,
Sensitive to the cultural differences found in China and the willingness to develop and maintain a
cross-cultural approach.
