ISA International Education Group has set up two schools in Guangzhou (China) in August 2022. We are inviting high potential candidates of I&S Teacher to join the school of ISA Liwan School.
Major Responsibilities
- To be responsible for the confidential counselling services to students experiencing a wide range of problems through individual sessions, responding to their personal, social, emotional, or educational concerns
- To provide support, guidance and advice to parents and staff
- To contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of all students
- To help to establish a safe and inclusive climate in the school, free from intolerance, harassment, and bullying.
- To deal with and/or report to the Head of Pastoral care incidents that are seen or reported regarding student welfare
- To take part in referral meetings, assisting in decisions and monitoring appropriate treatment programs, including therapy, counselling, or advice, in collaboration with colleagues
- To take responsibility for personal professional development, keeping up to date with research and development which may lead to improvements in the counselling service provided.
- To arrange and deliver relevant Professional Development training for staff and senior students on a regular basis and as and when needs are identified.
- To maintain appropriate records and ensure that these are kept securely.
- To act as an agent for positive change within the school community.
- To liaise, where appropriate and with student consent and in accordance with school policies, with other members of staff.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties at the request of the headmaster.

General Requirements for International Teaching Positions
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. BEd, PGCE)
- Minimum two years’ experience of classroom teaching in mainstream education sector
- Previous experience of teaching the IB curriculum is preferred, high potential candidates without IB experience might be considered
- Well-versed in various teaching resources including digital tools to support and enhance teaching and learning
- Sensitivity to the cultural differences
- A willingness to actively participate in the academic enrichment and co-curricular programmes
