Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IB Humanities Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching International Baccalaureate (IB) humanities courses, with a particular focus on subjects such as History, Geography, Global Politic
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction in IB Humanities subjects that align with the IB curriculum and standards.
- Engage students in critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and intercultural understanding, consistent with the aims of the IB program.
- Assess student work and progress using IB assessment criteria and provide constructive feedback to guide student learning and development.
- Collaborate with fellow IB educators to integrate the IB core components, such as Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS).
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and use assessment data to inform instructional practices.
- Foster a classroom environment that is inclusive, promotes respect for cultural diversity, and encourages open dialogue.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in IB education and subject-specific content.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues about curriculum goals and student progress.
- Contribute to the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, school committees, and events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant Humanities discipline or Education.
- Valid teaching certification or license.
- Demonstrated experience teaching IB Humanities courses with a strong record of student achievement.
- In-depth understanding of the IB curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students within a collaborative learning environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development within the IB educator network.

General Requirements for International Teaching Positions
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. BEd, PGCE)
- Minimum two years’ experience of classroom teaching in mainstream education sector
- Previous experience of teaching the IB curriculum is preferred, high potential candidates without IB experience might be considered
- Well-versed in various teaching resources including digital tools to support and enhance teaching and learning
- Sensitivity to the cultural differences
- A willingness to actively participate in the academic enrichment and co-curricular programmes
