ISA Science City International School is a world IB school providing a balanced education affording the intellectual, physical, emotional and social growth of all students aged 2 to 18. We are seeking experienced and passionate educator for Learning Support Teacher to start in August 2025.
Main Accountabilities
Supports all students on the grade level register wherelearning support, social emotional and English intensive support is needed
- Updates Student Support Profiles, IEPs and otherdocuments.
- Collaborates with homeroom teachers, EAL teacher, andother support teachers and TA’s as needed
- Informs single subject teachers of relevant information, including accommodations, for students with learningneeds
- Tracks progress through regular, ongoingcommunication and assessment
- Conduct specialized assessment to inform planning, goalsetting, intervention, or to collect data when further investigation is warranted
- Assists with the Student Support Team processes asneeded
- Develops a timetable based on the students’ needs
- Contributes to report writing
- Writes Individualised plans if required
Support Teachers may be required to be a Case Manager forstudents who require intensive tiered support. This involves:
- Communicating all information and documentation withthe stakeholders
- Arranging regular meetings between stakeholders
- Assisting with the Support Plans or IEPs
- Updating the Learning Support Register on Managebac
- Logging all parent and SST meetings on Managebac
- Upload all documentation to server (under review)
- Assisting to communicate information and documentationwith the stakeholders
- Reviewing of additional support as necessary.
- Informing single subject teachers of relevant information, including accommodations, for studentswith learning needs
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university, major in Learning support.
- PGCE or appropriate teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience, preferably in an international education environment.
- Experience within an education start-up environment may be advantageous.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Independent and well-structured working style with a hands-on, can-do attitude.
- Service-oriented, ability to learn quickly and no stranger to fast pace of work.
- Good planning and organizing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with team spirit, intercultural awareness and openness for an international environment in a Chinese landscape.
- Ability to work in a multicultural community.
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships.
- Ability to build trust, foster innovation, deliver high quality work.
- High level of integrity.
- A good sense of humour and able to maintain perspective during times of workplace intensity.

General Requirements for International Teaching Positions
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. BEd, PGCE)
- Minimum two years’ experience of classroom teaching in mainstream education sector
- Previous experience of teaching the IB/A-Level curriculum is preferred, high potential candidates without IB/A-Level experience might be considered
- Well-versed in various teaching resources including digital tools to support and enhance teaching and learning
- Sensitivity to the cultural differences
- A willingness to actively participate in the academic enrichment and co-curricular programmes
