Recruitment Information for Malaysian Candidates (.pdf format)

Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar (KTJ) is a thriving international, day and boarding school set in the beautiful Malaysian countryside, an hour’s drive south of Kuala Lumpur. The School was established in 1991 and now caters for more than 1,000 students aged 3 to 19.

The Primary School follows the English national curriculum in mathematics and literacy, alongside the International Primary Curriculum; while the Secondary School prepares students for IGCSEs and A Levels. Most students go on to study at UK universities.

We are looking for an inspirational and highly motivated teacher to join our EAL Department. The successful candidate will be able to deliver high-quality, challenging and fun lessons. The role will also involve working alongside classroom teachers in order to ensure robust support for EAL learners across the curriculum. Candidates must have at least two years’ experience in contexts which prioritise student-centred learning. It would be an advantage for the candidate to be fluent in the Korean language, and to have experience teaching IELTS.

In return, we can offer dedicated and creative colleagues as well as enthusiastic and capable students, supported by excellent resources and state-of-the-art facilities. KTJ is a friendly and supportive environment for students and staff alike. More information about the School is available on our website.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to security vetting.

Contact details of two referees, one of whom should be your current employer, should be included.
