Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong is developing and expanding. This is a new position for our new campus to start in August 2019. We are seeking high calibre candidates to join the family of Malvern College.

The role of the Assistant Principal- Native English Speaker (Playgroup, Pre N; KG to KG2) is essentially to assist in the leadership and management of the Pre-School and to work closely with the Principal of the Preschool to manage teaching and learning. The Deputy Principal will assist in the leadership to build and maintain a world-leading and successful Early Years programme within the school by providing an educational atmosphere conductive to learning and developing through the process of play-based learning and in conjunction with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)- Reggio Emilia Approach.The role of the Assistant Principal- Native English Speaker (Playgroup, Pre N; KG to KG2) is essentially to assist in the leadership and management of the Pre-School and to work closely with the Principal of the Preschool to manage teaching and learning. Requirements

  • Holder of Bachelor's Degree with teacher's qualification in Early Childhood Educaiton or equivalent
  • Native level of English
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Early Years, preferably internationally
  • Leadership experience leading teams or department
  • EYFS programme experience preferred
  • Early Years curriculum development knowledge and assessment
  • Previous international experience highly valued
  • Knowledge/ Experience of Reggio Emilia Approach advantageous
  • Demonstrate professionalism, commitment, integrity, strength of character and perseverance
  • Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age, and ethnic background
  • Ability to monitor the work of other teachers and provide effective and credible feedback leading to improvement
  • Shows a strong work ethic

Basic Requirements for All Teaching Positions

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Early Childhood)
  • A recognized teaching credentials
  • Minimum two years’ full-time teaching experience in school setting

Language Requirements

  • General teaching positoins:  Native level of English
  • Chinese teaching positions:  Native level of Putonghua
