ISA International Education Group is looking for high potential candidates and experienced teachers for our pre-IB programme in Guangzhou (China) to start in September 2020.

Major Responsibilities

  • Teaching​ ​a​ ​designated​ ​subject
  • Work​ ​in​ ​collaboration​ ​with​ ​the​ ​teachers,​ other ​Coordinators and Head of School​ ​to​ ​ensure​ ​the​ ​effective​ ​implementation​ ​of​ ​the​ ​curriculum
  • Support​ ​the planning,​ ​resourcing​ ​and​ ​delivery​ ​of​ ​IB​ ​DP
  • Provide​ ​overall​ ​pedagogical​ ​leadership​ ​to​ ​ensure​ ​excellent​ ​learning​ ​and​ ​teaching​  
  • deliver​ ​strategic​ ​review​ ​of​ ​the​ ​programme and its performance
  • Lead​ ​the​ curriculum​ ​evaluation/​authorization​ ​processes​ ​and​ ​facilitation​ ​of​ ​any​ ​related action plan
  • Monitor​ ​and​ ​track​ ​students’​ ​progress​ ​within​ ​the​ curriculum​ ​to ensure​ ​student​ ​and​ ​teacher​ ​success​ ​as​ ​learners
  • Lead​​/​facilitate​ ​​ ​the​ ​core​ ​components​ ​of​ ​TOK,​ ​CAS​ ​and​ ​EE
  • Attend​ ​all related and necessary school meetings and activities
  • Participate​ ​in​ ​co-curricular​ ​activities​ as appropriate
  • Be​ ​a​ ​strong​ ​role​ ​model​ ​and​ ​promote​ ​a​ ​positive​ ​and​ ​professional​ ​image​ ​for​ ​the​ ​school​ ​in​ ​the​ ​greater​ ​community
  • Be​ ​proactive​ ​with​ ​respect​ ​to​ ​change​ ​and​ ​feedback
  • Responds​ ​with​ ​sound,​ ​fair​ ​judgment​ ​to​ ​a​ ​variety​ ​of​ ​unique​ ​scenarios​ ​that​ ​occur​ ​throughout​ ​the​ ​school​ ​year
  • Participate​ ​in​ ​duty​ ​rotation
  • Perform​ ​other​ ​professional​ ​duties​ ​as​ ​defined​ ​and​ ​required​ ​by​ ​the​ ​school​ ​with​ ​respect​ ​to​ the capacity of the role

Specific Requirements

  • Strong command of English at native level
  • Holder of Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Attained recognized teacher qualification (e.g. B.Ed., M.Ed, PGDE/PGCE)
  • At least five years in full-time teaching at mainstream school setting at IBDP level
  • Well-versed in various teaching resources including digital tools to support and enhance teaching and learning
  • Sensitivity to the cultural differences
  • A willingness to actively participate in the academic enrichment and co-curricular programmes
