ISA International Education Group is looking for high potential candidates and experienced teachers for our pre-IB programme in Guangzhou (China) to start in September 2020.
Major Responsibilities
- Teaching a designated subject
- Work in collaboration with the teachers, other Coordinators and Head of School to ensure the effective implementation of the curriculum
- Support the planning, resourcing and delivery of IB DP
- Provide overall pedagogical leadership to ensure excellent learning and teaching
- deliver strategic review of the programme and its performance
- Lead the curriculum evaluation/authorization processes and facilitation of any related action plan
- Monitor and track students’ progress within the curriculum to ensure student and teacher success as learners
- Lead/facilitate the core components of TOK, CAS and EE
- Attend all related and necessary school meetings and activities
- Participate in co-curricular activities as appropriate
- Be a strong role model and promote a positive and professional image for the school in the greater community
- Be proactive with respect to change and feedback
- Responds with sound, fair judgment to a variety of unique scenarios that occur throughout the school year
- Participate in duty rotation
- Perform other professional duties as defined and required by the school with respect to the capacity of the role
Specific Requirements
- Strong command of English at native level
- Holder of Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Attained recognized teacher qualification (e.g. B.Ed., M.Ed, PGDE/PGCE)
- At least five years in full-time teaching at mainstream school setting at IBDP level
- Well-versed in various teaching resources including digital tools to support and enhance teaching and learning
- Sensitivity to the cultural differences
- A willingness to actively participate in the academic enrichment and co-curricular programmes
