We are seeking a lively, dynamic and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join a new primary teaching team who will be committed to continuing the excellent reputation of the school.
We are delighted to announce that the British International School of Riyadh is extending into Riyadh’s Diplomatic Quarter and will be opening a new Primary School in September 2020.
We have a range of new and exciting opportunities available at this fabulous location and we are seeking excellent teaching and non-teaching staff, who will be committed to continuing our 40 year legacy of providing high quality of education for students in Riyadh.
If you would like to be part of the BISR team and work in an innovative and rewarding learning environment with highly motivated students, excellent teachers and supportive parents, then we would very much welcome your application.
The British International School Riyadh (BISR) is an extremely well-regarded not-for-profit, co-educational school in the Middle East, catering for students aged 3-18 across its existing two campuses, providing high quality education to the expatriate community since 1979. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and as a British School Overseas (BSO). BISR is also a member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME) and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). The school follows the English curriculum, greatly enriched by the local and international context. Learning is holistic, supported by a broad co-curricular programme, encompassing extra-curricular activities, student leadership, service learning and residential trips. Strong pastoral care supports student well-being.
We are seeking a lively, dynamic and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join a new primary teaching team who will be committed to continuing the excellent reputation of the school. You will need to be hard working and highly-motivated, able to work cooperatively and imaginatively using the National Curriculum and the Foundation Stage Curriculum frameworks. We are specifically looking for a teacher who will contribute to embedding our school ethos and further developing our dynamic school, our creative curriculum; a teacher who will add value to the school’s vision and mission and existing very high academic standards.
The successful candidate will work across a range of activities and will have responsibility for the day to day management of the school’s swimming programme and sports based extra-curricular activities.
As part of the facilities, the school has a 25m swimming pool, two AstroTurf pitches, two external basketball courts and a sports hall that accommodates a full sized basketball court. Additionally, the school has a large hall that can be used for sporting activities. There is also access to other sporting facilities in the Diplomatic Quarter.
Sports are a fundamental part of the experience at BISR, with plenty of opportunities to compete in organised activities, between our campuses, as well as through our membership of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME) and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). We also have a growing programme of local competitions both within Riyadh and through partnerships with other International Schools in Saudi Arabia.
