We are seeking to appoint a Crèche/Teaching Assistant at BISR Salwa for 5 days per week (0.7 FTE).

Salwa Garden Village is located about 30km from Riyadh.  BISR Salwa is a community based school which caters exclusively for the children of residents of the compound with a current roll of approximately 160 students.


We are seeking to appoint Crèche/Teaching Assistant at BISR Salwa for 5 days per week (0.7 FTE), as follows:

  • Sunday, Monday and Thursday 12:40 – 16:00 / Tuesday and Wednesday 7:45 – 16:00.
  • Crèche Supervisory responsibility will commence at the end of the normal school day, which may fluctuate between a 13:15/14:00hrs start (If there are F1 attendees, then the crèche start time will be 13:15hrs).
  • Crèche Supervisory responsibility will also apply during the staff days as agreed annually (for academic year 2019, this will be 5 days in August Inset week, 1 day in January and 1 day in April).
  • Teaching Assistant duties will be required to be undertaken during the remaining contractual hours outside of the crèche opening times.


The successful candidate will:

  • work with all school staff to provide safe and stimulating child care;
  • be accountable to the Head of BISR Salwa;
  • be reliable, self-motivated, well organised and display initiative;
  • have an understanding of, and an interest in, the needs of young children;
  • have good interpersonal skills and be confident working with young children in a classroom;
  • have the ability to work as part of a team;
  • have a relevant qualification as a Classroom Assistant or in Child Care (desirable but not essential)
  • have KSA residency (essential).

Teachers who work at BISR should have


  • Qualified Teacher status;
  • Certificate of Education, First degree or equivalent;
  • Training or qualification relevant to the post.

  • The desire to develop knowledge of the curriculum above and below the preferred key stage;
