Recruitment information for candidates (.zip format)

Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar (KTJ) is a thriving international school, with state-of-the-art facilities set in beautiful Malaysian countryside, an hour’s drive south of Kuala Lumpur. The School was established in 1991 and now caters for more than 1,000 students aged 3 to 19.

We are looking for an inspirational, highly-motivated and experienced teacher to lead our PE Department in the Primary School through the next stage in its development. In return, we can offer dedicated and creative colleagues and enthusiastic and capable students, supported by excellent resources.

There are two Primary School PE teachers and both are expected to teach PE and Swimming across the age range (Nursery to Year 6). Both teachers also take a number of extra-curricular activities and lead sports fixtures at home and away. The Head of PE takes responsibility for organising fixtures through the Kuala Lumpur International School Sports (KLISS) and Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) competitions, as well as one-off fixtures. The department believes in an approach of sport for all and staff work closely with PE colleagues in the Secondary School.

KTJ is a friendly and supportive environment for students and staff alike. More information on the School, and conditions for International and Malaysian teachers can be found in our publication, International Staff Recruitment Brochure and Malaysian Staff Recruitment Brochure (available on the vacancies page of our website and the inteachers portal) respectively.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to security vetting.

Contact details of two referees, one of whom should be your current headteacher, must be included.
