As well as providing pastoral care for their students, the teacher's primary role is to plan, prepare and teach the curriculum under the guidance of the PYP Co-ordinator and Head of EY/Primary. The teacher has the lead role in teaching Language, Mathematics and the Programme of Inquiry and offers holistic learning experiences that integrate socio-emotional, physical and cognitive development.  The teacher takes a lead role in designing and delivering daily learning experiences, and promotes a collaborative environment engaging  the expertise, skills and knowledge of his/her co-teacher.during selecting suitable co-teaching structures, including: "one teach, one observe", "parallel teaching", "station teaching", "alternative teaching", "one teach, one assist", and "team teaching".

The requirements for a Work Visa in China include:

  • Teacher certification (PGCE, BEd...)
  • University degree from recognized "English" country
  • Two years full-time teaching experience
  • Clean Criminal Records check
  • Authenticated copies of application materials
