We are looking for a technician to join the Art and Design Technology departments, who has an interest in supporting the practical aspects of learning in the fields of art, textiles and food technology
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Head of Art and Design Technology in our new, purpose-built Waterfront building. He/she will be involved in sourcing, purchasing and preparing materials required in Art, Textiles and Food Technology lessons during term time. During the school holidays, the technician will be required to carry out preparatory work for the following term, as well as other duties within the School. Candidates must be able to speak and write English and have some ICT literacy. Experience of working with children and young people, either in a school or another institution, would be beneficial, as would experience of: food hygiene; health and safety in a workshop; how to work with textiles; and how to use and maintain sewing machines.
